The Eye Exam: Dinner and a Movement
An immersive collection reflecting on the emotions of 2020.
Held on January 16, 2021 as Covid cases were steadily rising, Dinner and a Movement reflects on the emotions of 2020 through the collaboration of dance, visual, and culinary art. This two-part event addresses the moods of somber uncertainty brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic and social tensions, while also celebrating the moments that helped us make it to 2021 such as camaraderie, nourishment, and art. Although this was a live event, it only consisted of a small audience to provide a safer environment; the above short film was made to ensure that everyone everywhere can have access to this experience and hear directly from the participating artists.
